Placements and Internships

We provide practicum placements for students who are completing their Master degrees for Psychotherapy or Social Work.  To maximize training in providing psychotherapy, placements should be at least 6 months long, but preferably 8 months long.  

We also provide internship placements for clinicians who have completed their Master’s degrees in Psychotherapy or Social Work.  These placements are specific for each clinician based on the clinician’s availability and goals.  However, we expect interns to see a minimum of 5 clients per week and we provide interns with one hour of supervision per week.  Group supervision is also available.

Passport Coordinator/Case Management

Family Service Thames Valley (FSTV) is seeking a full-time Passport Coordinator/Case Manager to support individuals with developmental disabilities through our Community Integration Program. This role is responsible for coordinating Passport-funded services, completing client intakes, managing individualized budgets, processing receipts, connecting clients to community resources and independent contractors, and providing advocacy and case management support.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in a human services field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the developmental services sector (case management preferred)
• Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities and community resources
• Valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, CPR/First Aid, and a current Vulnerable Sector Check

Position Details:

• Permanent full-time, 35 hours per week
• On-site in London, Ontario
• Monday to Friday
• Salary: $54,135 – $58,560 plus benefits and Employee Assistance Program
